THE SCOPE OF A TRANSLATION COMPANY IN TODAY WORLD
What is translation? Cambridge Dictionary defines it as: “the activity or process of changing the words of one language into the words in another language that have the same meaning”. Translation is the conversion of written text from one language to another. The original language of the document is commonly referred to as the source language, whereas the language in which the document needs to be translated is referred to as target language, or the receptor language. The goal of a translation, as every reputable translation company would agree, is to convey the original meaning, tone and objective of a message in the most authentic and accurate way possible, while taking into consideration geographical and cultural differences between the target and the source languages.
